General and Family Dentistry
In this sideways world we currently find ourselves, I am reaching out to share what has been going on behind the scenes at the practice. There is however, something far greater than the changes we are making that needs to be expressed first. Each of you who have walked through our doors has in one way or another become a part of our dental family. It is from this place that I sincerely hope that each of you and your loved ones are safe and healthy.
I will now share the efforts and critical changes we have implemented since the government’s mandated shut down. It is my sole intention to maintain our commitment to providing the absolute highest quality of care and safety to all patients and staff.
That stated, we are in strict compliance with all mandated infection control procedures. Any updates or new recommendations by the CDC, ADA and OSHA are swiftly implemented. It is in this climate that we have taken additional steps, by making the following physical and procedural changes, to ensure everyone’s comfort and safety.
- Installation of M.E.R.V. 13 air filters into our air conditioning system, for enhanced quality air filtration.
- Installation of U.V.-C lighting to kill ALL bacteria and viruses within the system.
- A new-high-speed oral vacuum system (Pure Vac, HVE) to manage potential particulates during hygiene appointments.
- New single use/disposable tooth polishing motors to be utilized at hygiene appointments.
- Extended hygiene appointment time, from 45 minutes to 60 minutes.
- Office-wide utilization of personal protective equipment (P.P.E.) to include scrubs, jackets/gowns, masks and face-shields.
- Individual air filtration for each operatory.
Finally, I hope in the calm of your quieter moments, you find warmth not just in sunshine, but in noticing how we have come together in this unprecedented time. We will absolutely get through this.
All the Best,
Andrew J. DeMeyer, D.D.S.
NEW PROCEDURAL PRACTICES FOR ALL PATIENTS
Our office will communicate with you the day before your appointment to confirm your arrival the next day, and you’ll be asked health screening questions. These same questions will be asked again when you arrive the next day, and an infrared temperature reading will be taken.
When you arrive, please try to park in our lot, or immediately in front of the building. Then, call us from the comfort of your car, a staff member will come and greet you, ask the screening questions again, take your temperature, and walk you directly into your treatment room.
If you have to park further away, call from your car, we will notify you when you can walk into the office. We will then ask you the screening questions, and take your temperature at the front desk.
When you visit our office, your smile is our top priority. Our entire team is dedicated to providing you with the personalized, gentle care that you deserve.
Part of our commitment to serving our patients includes providing information that helps them to make more informed decisions about their oral health needs. This website is a resource we hope you’ll find both useful and interesting.
Education & Prevention
As a practice, we are true believers that preventative care and education are the keys to optimal dental health. We strive to provide “dental health care” vs. “disease care”. That’s why we focus on thorough exams – checking the overall health of your teeth and gums, performing oral cancer exams, and taking x-rays when necessary. We also know that routine cleanings, flossing, sealants, and fluoride are all helpful in preventing dental disease. Not only are we focused on the beauty of your smile, we’re also concerned about your health. A review of your medical history can help us stay informed of your overall health, any new medications, and any illnesses that may impact your dental health.
We participate in the following insurance programs:
- Delta Dental PPO/Premier Provider
We genuinely hope
